Hearing Therapy Online was established by Anna Pugh, a Consultant Hearing Therapist Audiologist with over 30 years experience.

Anna has always been passionate about helping people, especially those with hearing and communication issues. This devotion has been the driving force behind her entire career, and led her to establish Hearing Therapy Online.

Having worked closely with people with audiological issues for over three decades, she has witnessed first hand the obstacles people have had to overcome in order to 'fit in' to the world around them. Whether it be whilst counselling those with tinnitus, fitting hearing aids, clearing wax, or any of the other varied aspects of her career, there has been one constant... The lack of ongoing, personalised, holistic support. Solutions to hearing issues are often clinical, but Anna's experience has shown her that clinical solutions often work best when coupled with personalised support. This is the enduring aim for Hearing Therapy Online; To help people living with audiological issues live their most comfortable lives.

Anna initially trained as a Hearing Therapist at the City Lit Centre for Deaf People in the early 1980s, and worked for the NHS across Essex, North East London and Camberwell South London.

Having spent 10 years with Sense, the National DeafBlind and Rubella Association, Anna retrained as a Registered Hearing Aid Audiologist, gaining her private dispensing license. She recently retired as a Council member of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA) after four years,  and now a panel member of the HCPC Tribunal Service, she has provided teaching sessions at universities, and has a private practice supporting people with Tinnitus.

Annas' book Talking about Tinnitus is available on our website, or on Amazon

Anna made the move  from London to the North Norfolk coast around 10 years ago. She enjoys long walks, having completed the Camino de Santiago a few years ago. Living in the countryside has further fostered her love of walking, and she now shares her passion with her family and growing brood of beautiful grandchildren, who love to explore the expasive beaches with her. Anna also enjoys reading (not always about ears), and is passionate about helping others.

Annas practice is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and she holds all relevant professional indemnity insurances.
